Ta’ Mena Gozo wine being exported to Japan

Nine thousand bottles of DOK Gozo wine made by Ta’ Mena are on their way to Japan, the first such shipment to this market.

The announcement was made by Agriculture Parliamentary Secretary Clint Camilleri who said he had recently visited Japan hoping to identify trade possibilities.

There has been a campaign under way to promote the concept of Wines of Distinction, in conjunction with producers of DOK Malta, DOK Gozo and IGT Maltese Islands wines.

Half of Japan's regional banks to back Mizuho Bank...

About half of around 100 regional banks in Japan will introduce a new cashless payment system developed by Mizuho Financial Group Inc. starting in late March, sources close to the matter said Saturday. Mizuho Bank will launch the J-Coin service on March 1, with the regional banks following suit from March 25, they said.
