The Hon. Consul of Japan visits MJCC

The President and Committee welcomed Mr. Geoffrey Debono, Hon. Consul of Japan at the premises of MJCC on 1 February 2023.

President Anthony Micallef welcomed Mr. Debono and introduced the members of the Committee. He also gave a brief overview of past activities and those in the pipeline for this year.

Mr. Debono said he is looking forward to work hand in hand with MJCC so as to enhance the already good relations between Malta and Japan.
He said he is aware of the challenges in his new role but the fact that he visited Japan so many times because of his business, he thinks this is a great advantage. 

Mr. Debono stressed the importance MJCC should continue to grow and increase its activities as it can serve as a catalyst in strengthening ties at all levels.
He said the Consulate and MJCC should have regular meetings to exchange information and also to encourage more understanding between the peoples of both countries.

Mr. Micallef concluded MJCC Committee was honoured to receive the Hon. Consul and hoped more fruitful meetings will take place in the future.
